Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 September 2022, a delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Minister Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, took part in a regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states, which was held in Cholpan-Ata (Kyrgyzstan).

The meeting of the Council was attended by the ministers of internal affairs of the republics of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, as well as the director of the Bureau for Coordinating the Fight against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime in the Territory of the CIS Member States (BKBOP).

The meeting discussed priority issues of cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs and the police of the CIS countries in the implementation of interstate programs to combat crime, as well as the preparation of a draft Interstate program of joint measures to combat crime for 2024-2028.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a number of documents were signed on the issues discussed regarding the advisability of creating a Unified Register of Internet resources to be blocked in accordance with the national laws of the CIS member states, combating the illegal distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, cooperation in the field of preventing the use by citizens of the Commonwealth member states of the institution of changing citizenship in order to evade criminal and other liability, and others.

The members of the Council highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan to carefully prepare and successfully hold the meeting, which took place in a businesslike and constructive atmosphere, in an atmosphere of friendship, mutual trust and cooperation.
