Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 March 2022, a delegation from Tashkent headed by khokim Jakhongir Artikkhojaev took part in the plenary session of the 6th General Assembly of the Asian Forum of Mayors, held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The Chairman of the National Council of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe R. Emomali, welcoming the participants, noted that the event is held under the motto "City social capital: public trust."

Within the framework of the forum, the participants will discuss issues of further development of interregional relations, trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

During the visit to Dushanbe, a meeting of the Tashkent delegation headed by khokim Jakhongir Artikkhojaev with the mayor of Tehran, Dr. Alireza Zakani took place. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the capitals of the two countries in the cultural, humanitarian and tourism sectors.

The issues of forming partnership relations between the cities in the cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres were also considered at a meeting with the mayor of Mashhad, the second-largest city in Iran, Sayyid Abudullah Shirazi.
