The delegation, accompanied by Minister of Health Abdukhakim Khadjibaev, visited a specialized infectious diseases hospital in Zangiata region and got acquainted with the experience of Uzbekistan in the treatment of coronavirus.

The total cost of the specialized infectious diseases hospital is 504 billion soums, which includes 2 complexes on an area of 33 hectares. It takes into account the nature of infectious diseases and the requirements of modern medicine. The facility is designed for 4000 patients.

In the intensive care unit, each bed is equipped with a ventilator and medical devices. It is also possible to equip this department in various fields, such as cardiology, neurology, pediatrics.

The laboratory is equipped with the most modern equipment in the field of virology, biochemistry and immunology, microbiology, parasitology. For example, while modern polymer chain reaction equipment diagnoses an average of 40 people in 5 hours, modern equipment can detect 90 samples in 2 hours. The express test method allows to detect antibodies in the blood in 10 minutes. The work of conducting an express test for the antigen of the polymer chain reaction has been established and in 5 minutes you can find out whether or not a person has a coronavirus infection.

Also, in the admission and diagnostic department, it is possible to simultaneously perform multispiral computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, digital radiography and modern ultrasound diagnostics.
