Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the National Research University "MPEI" (Moscow Power Engineering Institute) of the Russian Federation was received at the Bukhara State University.

During the meeting, the rector of Bukhara State University Obidjon Khamidov informed the guests about the reforms carried out in the field of education in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Also, proposals were made on assessing the effectiveness of reforms at the university, using new opportunities and establishing cooperation in relevant areas.

In turn, these proposals were supported by the Vice-Rector for International Relations of the National Research University "MPEI" A. Tarasov. The expediency of a systematic exchange of students, teaching staff, the implementation of joint research projects, as well as training and internship programs was emphasized.

As a result of the talks, an agreement was reached on signing a memorandum on bilateral cooperation in these areas as a first practical step, the Bukhara State University information service reports.
