Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A criminal wanted for involvement in religious extremist activities was brought from Chisinau to Tashkent, accompanied by employees of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The detainee, hiding from the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan, joined an international extremist organization, where he received training in preparing and committing terrorist acts, becoming one of the leaders of the organization. This was reported by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It was possible to carry out the arrest thanks to the joint actions and operational-information exchange of the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Chisinau.
After a positive consideration of the issue of extradition by the competent authorities of Moldova, the wanted man was handed over to law enforcement officers of Uzbekistan to stand trial.
