Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During an operational event held by employees of the Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office, the head of the private enterprise "N" for the production of lime was detained in Navoi for changing the indicators of the gas meter.

As a result of external interference, the gas supply company suffered a loss in the amount of 437 million soums.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated against the head of the enterprise under Part 4 of Art. 185-2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Violation of the rules for the use of electric, thermal energy, gas, water supply). An investigation is underway.

Violation of this article entails the imposition of a fine from 300 to 500 basic estimated values (from 66.9 million soums to 111.5 million soums) or restriction of freedom from two to three years, or imprisonment from two to three years.
