Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 March 2021, at about 18:30 at the intersection of Zarafshan and Islam Karimov streets in Mirabad district, 32-year-old Kh.Z., driving a Spark car, hit pedestrians - 30 -year-old B.R. and 23-year-old N.A., who were crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.

As a result of the road accident, both pedestrians were injured and were hospitalized. On 20 March 2021, one of the woman, B.R., despite the efforts of the medical specialists, died from her injuries in the intensive care unit.

On this fact, the Investigation Department of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the city of Tashkent opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of Article 266 (“Violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation, resulting in the death of a person”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. An investigation is underway.
