Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Amateur autotourists set off on a trip around Uzbekistan from the capitals of the SCO member states to participate in the "Automobile trip from the capitals of the SCO member states to the city of Samarkand" and the 15th International SUV Festival. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan.

On 14 August, a convoy of 30 cars from Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan and Georgia arrived in Samarkand. A press conference and a tour of historical monuments were organized for the participants of the road trip in Samarkand.

The international festival "Off-Road Vehicle" began its activities in 2006 at the initiative of jeep tourism enthusiasts. This festival is held in different countries of the world, in particular, in the CIS countries, and in 2022 the festival will be hosted by Uzbekistan.

The purpose of holding this festival in our country is to show the hospitality of Uzbekistan, the rich and diverse tourism potential of the country, natural resources - rivers, mountains, lakes, the beauty of wildlife.

In accordance with the instructions of the President of Uzbekistan to hold the Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) at a high level, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage is holding a plein air for artists in the city of Samarkand. The International Sculpture Symposium "Samarkand-2022" also started with the participation of foreign masters.
