The main goal of the contest is to preserve the heritage of Muhammad al-Khorazmiy and his propaganda among the youth of Uzbekistan, promote the exact sciences among schoolchildren, and identify talents in the field of IT and create conditions for realizing their potential.
Only students of grades 10-11 of general-education schools in Uzbekistan can participate in the competition.
The contest consists of three stages. The first stage will be held at the school level from 1 to 10 April 2018. At this stage, students of schools will participate in the online test on the website www.matfiz.uz in three subjects: mathematics, physics and computer science. Participants who score 80 points or higher will be qualified to the second stage.
In the second regional stage, participants will take part in a written examination, during which they must solve three practical problems in three subjects. Students who scored 75 points or higher in the second stage will be in the final stage. The exact dates of the second stage will be announced on the website of the contest.
The final contest will be held at Inha University in Tashkent in late June 2018. At this stage, participants will have to write written work on mathematics, physics and computer science.
The winners of the contest will be awarded with the "Muhammad al-Khorazmiy izdoshlari" award (“Followers of Muhammad al-Khorazmiy”). In addition, the holder of the first place will receive a monetary reward in the amount of 100 minimum wages (MWR), the second - 75 MWR and the third - 65 MWR.
