A citizen with fake banknotes for 29,000 euros arrested

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A citizen was arrested with fake banknotes for 29,000 euros in Tashkent.

The law enforcement bodies detained a man on the basis of information from the bank. The man had 58 banknotes of 500 euros each.

The man tried to exchange fake banknotes at Asaka Bank’s branch in Yunusabad district of Tashkent city.

On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 176 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, investigative actions are being conducted.
