A ceremony of transferring special fire and medical equipment to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan on a gratuitous basis takes place in Seoul

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An official ceremony of transferring 8 units of special automobile fire-fighting and medical equipment, as well as protective gear and equipment for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, took place in Seoul, Dunyo news agency reported.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Embassy of our country in Seoul, the National Fire Service of the Republic of Korea, the Korean-Uzbek Business Association and the Korean Fire Safety Association.

Delivery of the specified equipment and property to Uzbekistan is planned at the beginning of 2022. In addition to the transfer of equipment, the South Korean side also plans to organize training courses on the operation of this equipment both in Uzbekistan and in South Korea.

As part of the event, the parties noted a positive dynamics in the development of cooperation in the field of fire safety between the two countries. In a short period of time, with the assistance of our diplomatic mission in Seoul, mutual exchanges of visits of relevant specialists of the two countries were held in order to exchange experience in the field of fire safety, a joint development and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Scientific Research Institute of Fire Safety and Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan was organized and the Korea Fire Institute, as well as established direct interagency contacts for the regular exchange of experience on issues of mutual interest.

The parties stressed their readiness to further intensify cooperation in the field of fire safety.

Currently, the issue of implementing an investment project for the construction of a fire safety training complex in the Tashkent region is being worked out with the South Korean side. In addition, it is planned to intensify cooperation in the field of training and retraining of personnel, including training specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan in educational institutions of fire training in South Korea.
