Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to increase the economic and social activity of women by expanding their knowledge, economic, financial and legal literacy, developing entrepreneurial skills and developing women’s entrepreneurship, and improving their business environment, on 5 March at the Ministry of Employment and Labor relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a tripartite memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MZTO), Khalq Bank and the Tadbirkor Ayol Association.
The expansion and protection of economic, social rights and opportunities of women are one of the priorities of state policy. Particular attention is paid to supporting their entrepreneurship and public initiatives, as well as facilitating access to financial and educational information resources.
Creation of favorable conditions for women’s participation in market relations is a requirement of the times. In turn, this requires an increase in the competitiveness of female labor through the introduction of innovative educational programs, retraining and advanced training.
The creation of institutional legal mechanisms to improve the economic and social opportunities of women and legal support for women entrepreneurs is critical in addressing this problem. In addition, there is no doubt that supporting the initiatives and aspirations of women who actively contribute to economic development will bring great results.
Teaching women entrepreneurial skills based on modern information technologies will help create new innovative small businesses and jobs with their participation, which will increase the share of women in the economy and increase their social activity. For this, it is necessary to organize short training courses on entrepreneurship and business.
On the basis of a tripartite memorandum, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations organizes the registration of women registered in the "Women’s Book" who want to start their own business in district (city) employment centers as job seekers or unemployed, and the Association coordinates the ordering of departments for training in short-term training courses. In addition, funding will be organized for short-term training courses for women registered in the "Women’s Book" seeking work and / or registered as unemployed who wish to start their own business. In this regard, the Ministry, through its regional offices, will provide the Association with practical assistance in organizing and conducting training courses aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills. Also, the ministry will provide auditoriums with the necessary equipment in the buildings of educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Healthcare for the conduct of training courses.
Association "Tadbirkor Ayol" will prepare short-term courses, curricula and programs for the formation of entrepreneurial skills, organize training courses, publish textbooks on the basics of entrepreneurship and business, conduct training courses in accordance with the orders of the regional departments of the MZTO. At the end of the training, women will be awarded certificates of completion and credits based on the success of their business projects.
Khalq Bank compiles a list of women registered in the "Women’s Book", looking for work in regional (city) employment promotion centers or registered as unemployed in the prescribed manner, wishing to start an entrepreneurial activity (for obtaining a preferential loan). those wishing to start an entrepreneurial activity (to obtain a preferential loan), to employment assistance centers for training in short-term entrepreneurship courses. It provides preferential loans to women who have successfully completed training courses, have a certificate, confirmed in accordance with the established procedure, and have started entrepreneurial activities.
