A caravan of thousands of books arrived in Buka

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, more than 18,000 books were handed over to the youth of the Buka district of Tashkent region.

In particular, five thousand volumes of Uzbek and world literature were donated to schools and makhallas of Buka on behalf of the Agency of Information and Mass Communications. As a symbol of this action, the director of the Agency presented a special certificate to the district khokim.

The remaining 13,000 books were provided by the Uzbekistan Youth Union, the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment and other partner organizations.

Also, at the solemn event held at the Center for Culture and Recreation, the youth of the district presented new equipment and other necessary equipment to equip a modern sports ground.

These charity events are held as part of the five initiatives launched by the President of Uzbekistan and are aimed at creating additional conditions for the comprehensive education of the young generation.

It should be noted that currently projects are being implemented in Buka district aimed at the complex creation of social infrastructure. Special attention is paid to the formation of conditions for attracting young people to reading, and for this purpose the library funds must be inventoried and constantly replenished with high-quality literature, a network of bookstores and book-cafes should be developed.

The working group is also tasked to ensure on a permanent basis the functioning of various circles, including sports, computer and Internet centers, and for women to organize the possibility of additional income through the creation of jobs in the textile and clothing enterprises.

The result of each project will be carefully studied and positive experience spread throughout the country.
