A business forum on private sector issues to be held in Tashkent as part of the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank group

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 to 4 September, various events will be held in Tashkent as part of the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the IDB group, which will be visited by more than 2 thousand people.

One of them will be a forum on private sector issues, which plans to gather more than a thousand people on its site. The Business Forum of the Islamic Development Bank Group is a kind of bridge serving for communication and coordination between the interested organizations of the IDB group, private sector enterprises and relevant institutions in the member countries of the IDB group.

The main goal of the forum is to create a single platform for effective dialogue, cooperation and inclusive partnership using promising investment opportunities. As a structure that fosters trade and investment, the forum leverages the resources of the IDB group to provide the necessary services and confidence-building to investors, and to establish strategic partnerships with private sector leaders. The main focus of the forum will be on maximizing the volume of international investment among member states.

In the forum program: 

- Session of the general directors of the IDB group organizations, where the IDB approach “Answer. Restore. Restart”, associated with the consequences of the pandemic.

- Press conference for media representatives.

- Speeches by the heads of various divisions of the IDB, where they will talk about the support provided to the private sector, as well as discuss the prospects for the development of private sector enterprises in the CIS.

- Presentation of the investment and trade potential of Uzbekistan.

After the forum, the participants will hold a series of B2B and B2G meetings.
