Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Decree of the President (No. PP-4877 dated 03.11.2020), the Ferghana branch of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports will be established, which will start operating in the 2021/2022 academic year.

On the basis of a special scientific laboratory of the university, the Research Institute of Physical Culture and Sports will be created, which will begin work on 1 January 2021.

From 1 December 2020, the University will carry out educational and scientific and methodological management of the activities of all state organizations and sports federations (associations) in the field of physical culture and sports in the country.

From the 2021/2022 academic year, the Tashkent Medical Academy, the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute and other HEIs will train specialists in "sports medicine", "sports pharmacology", "sports rehabilitation", "sports psychology" and "sports dietetics".
