The Ministry of Health of our country and the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov, they unite efforts to improve the system of training highly qualified medical personnel and develop a system of high-tech medical care in Uzbekistan.
As part of the first stage of the implementation of the cooperation program, it is planned to open a branch of the aforementioned Russian university in the city of Tashkent for training highly qualified personnel in residency (later in graduate school) and additional professional education of medical workers in our country.
The main condition for the organization of highly qualified medical education is training at modern high-tech clinical bases, for which the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov were selected.
The members of the delegation also visited these medical institutions, which were chosen as clinical sites.
The Chilanzar Medical College was chosen to host the university branch, which has a complex of premises necessary for the implementation of educational activities and is located in close proximity to the selected clinical bases.
In parallel with the reconstruction (construction) of buildings and structures of the branch and equipping with educational and simulation equipment, it is planned to equip the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov with modern medical high-tech equipment necessary for training highly qualified doctors on modern advanced technologies.
As a result of the implementation of the project, the RSCEMP, the RSPMTSKH, together with the branch of the Russian university, will become the leading consultative, medical (later scientific) and educational centers of Uzbekistan.
The recruitment of students for residency (and later for postgraduate studies) will be carried out by announcing a competition among graduates of medical universities in our country.
The teaching staff of the branch of the university will be formed from among the teaching staff of the Russian university, specialists from our country and, in the future, from the best graduates of the branch.
After the opening of the branch of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov, in two years, Uzbekistan will receive the first issue of residents.
