A book about Tashkent Victory Park presented in Moscow

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation of the book “Victory Park: The Philosophy of Courage and Perseverance”, published at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, took place in Moscow.

According to the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the presentation was organized within the framework of the visit of Uzbekistan delegation led by the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Director of the National Center for Human Rights Akmal Saidov to Russia.

The presentation of the book took place with the assistance of Yevgeny Primakov, head of Russia’s Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).

The presentation was attended by the Chairman of the Committee on Defense of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vladimir Shamanov, cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Salijan Sharipov, Ambassador for Special Tasks at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, member of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Vladimir Churov, famous Russian writer Fyodor Razzakov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Botir Asadov and others.

It was noted that the publication of the book was initiated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory.

The participants expressed their views on the grandeur and importance of the book, its significance for preserving historical memory, a high publishing level, as well as the versatility of the approach to the theme shown in this work. An opinion was expressed about the advisability of publishing an expanded version of this book in Russia.
