A 60-year old man investigated for fraud

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A criminal investigation was launched against a 60-year-old Samirjon S., who promised 60-year-old Samirjon S. to help to purchase an electric car from China, Tashkent city Internal Affairs Department said.

He took US$40,000 and did not fulfil his promise. He spend the money on his own needs.

Tashkent city Internal Affairs Department said that a criminal case was initiated on this case under Part 4 of Article 168 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The investigation continues.
