A 19-year-old driver killed a pedestrian in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 19-year-old driver without a driver’s license hit a pedestrian to death in Tashkent.

According to information from the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate, the incident occurred on 12 April at 12:30 on Yunusota Street in Yunusabad district of the capital.

The driver of the Nexia 3 car, K. Sh., born in 2005, without a driver’s license, hit 49-year-old pedestrian A. R.

The man died at the scene from his injuries.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of a person).

An investigation is currently underway.
