81.5 Billion Soums Allocated for Improvement of Yangi Uzbekistan Street in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tashkent city administration will allocate 81.5 billion soums for projects on Yangi Uzbekistan Street. This decision was made by the city’s hokim (mayor), Shavkat Umurzakov, on 4 June.
The funds will be used to compensate landowners and farming enterprises for plots transferred to the city’s reserved land fund along the street, as well as for the construction of pedestrian and bicycle paths, the development of recreational areas and fountains, and comprehensive landscaping of the territory.
The financing will come from the City Development Fund in accordance with the presidential decree dated 30 June 2022, which outlines measures for the development of roadside infrastructure along Yangi Uzbekistan Street.
