Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 28 June, a 35-year-old man, a resident of Muzrab district of Surkhandarya region, felt a sore throat, inflammation of the respiratory tract, remained at home and was treated on his own.
On 2 July, his health deteriorated, he appealed to the district medical association, after which he was hospitalized in the regional infectious diseases hospital. He was diagnosed with COVID-19. The disease was characterized by severe bilateral pneumonia, acute respiratory distress, and complications of cardiovascular failure. He also suffered from concomitant diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and chronic pyelonephritis.
During the treatment of the patient in the hospital, an online consultation with specialists of the Ministry of Health was conducted, the treatment process was carried out on the recommendation of specialists.
However, despite the resuscitation procedures performed by doctors in accordance with the standards, the patient’s condition deteriorated sharply and he died from acute cardiovascular and respiratory failure.
