Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the eve of International Women’s Day, Cosmopolitan Russia published a list of 30 media and influential women from the CIS countries. It included female influencers from the world of politics, business, culture, science, sports and other public figures.

Millions of people know them, they inspire with their victories, influence the course of political and social events, fight for rights and defend the truth. They are women who are making history before our very eyes.

It is noteworthy that the top 30 most influential representatives of the women of the Commonwealth countries included six of our compatriots at once.

“Women who are making history before our eyes” – this is how Cosmopolitan himself described his new project. As the Cosmo.ru editorial staff mentions, a community of independent journalists from different CIS countries worked on the sample - it was they who formed a short list of 30 media and influential people divided into six categories: "Power", "Money", "Science and Health", "Society", "Sports and Culture", and "Media". Given the limited number of places in the ranking, the presence of Uzbek women in three categories at once is an outstanding result.

GOVERNMENT

- Shakhnoza Mirziyoeva - Head of the Department of the Ministry of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, initiator of the project of specialized rehabilitation educational institutions for children with special needs;

- Tanzila Narbaeva - Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

SCIENCE AND HEALTH

- Jamila Polatova - Secretary General of the Association of Oncologists of Uzbekistan, founder and head of the Jamila Polatova Oncology School;

 - Shahlo Turdikulova - Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Director of the Center for Advanced Technologies.

SPORT AND CULTURE

- Gayane Umerova - Executive Director of the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art;

- Alina Khakimova is the world champion in military triathlon.
