Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 10:00 on 22 August 2020, the number of registered cases of coronavirus infections in Uzbekistan made up 38,231 (+157).

About 100 new cases registered in Tashkent, 21 in Samarkand region, 17 in Namangan region, 6 in Tashkent region and 6 in Surkhandarya region, 4 in Kashkadarya region and 3 in Andijan region.

75-year-old U.Kh., living in Mirzo-Ulugbek district (male) and 36-year-old F.A., living in Shaykhantakhur region. (male) died with a diagnosis of coronavirus.

Currently, 33 989 people infected with coronavirus (89%) have recovered in the country.

3980 patients are being treated according to the standards established by doctors. Of these, 277 are in serious condition, 96 are in critical condition.
