15.5 Million Passengers: Uzbekistan Airports Reports Results for 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The year 2025 proved to be one of steady growth for Uzbekistan Airports across all key areas of activity.

Over the year, positive dynamics were observed in passenger traffic, flight numbers, and cargo volumes compared with 2024.

From January to December, airports in Uzbekistan handled 128,972 flights, marking a 14% increase over the previous year. Of these, 92,480 flights were international, while 36,492 were domestic.

Total passenger traffic in 2025 reached 15,504,264 people, up 15% compared with 2024. International flights carried 12,707,101 passengers, while domestic flights served 2,797,163 passengers.

The cargo segment also showed positive growth. In 2025, Uzbek airports processed 98,137 tons of cargo and mail, a 12% increase compared with the previous year.

During the reporting period, the geography of air traffic expanded with the arrival of four new passenger airlines: China’s Air China and China Eastern, South Korea’s T’Way, and Malaysia’s AirAsia.

The results of 2025 reflect the steady development of Uzbekistan’s aviation sector, growth in international mobility, and the continued expansion of domestic air travel.
