Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On measures aimed at the development of the furniture industry in the regions of the republic” was adopted. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.
According to the resolution, small industrial zones (15) will be created in the regions, specializing in the production of furniture products by the cluster method.
Production areas in small industrial zones will be sold through an electronic online auction on the basis of ownership.
Compensation payments for compensation of losses in agricultural and forestry production associated with the allocation of land plots for the creation of small industrial zones, as an exception, are not levied.
The Export Promotion Agency covers the following costs:
In the amount of 50% of transport costs for the import of raw materials (codes 4410 and 4411 TIF TN) of local enterprises, whose share in the annual proceeds from the export of finished furniture products in 2021-2024 is at least 30%;
Until 1 January 2024, for exporting enterprises specializing in the production of furniture products, when exporting furniture products to all countries, including neighboring countries, - 50% of the cost of road and rail transportation, but not more than 5% of the cost of export of products (excluding transportation costs) by road and 7% by rail.
Until 1 January 2023, a zero customs duty rate will be applied to the import of certain raw materials, parts, fittings and accessories used in furniture production.
Also, the Uzbek International Furniture Fair will be held annually from May 2022.
