143 kindergartens, 265 schools, 137 healthcare facilities to be built in 2022

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On measures to implement the Obod Qishloq and Obod Mahalla programs in 2022-2026” was adopted.

According to the resolution, target parameters have been approved for the number of villages and mahallas, where construction, repair and landscaping work will be carried out in the framework of the Obod Qishloq and Obod Mahalla programs in 2022-2026.

Accordingly, in these years, construction, repair work, as well as landscaping work will be carried out in 2,043 villages and mahallas of the republic (including 413 in 2022).

Within the framework of the programs, in the established years, including in 2022, it is planned to build, reconstruct and repair a total of 4,057 social facilities, such as:

-143 kindergartens;

-265 schools;

-137 medical institutions.

Also:

- 27,722.5 km of internal roads (in 2022 - 5,113.2 km), 18,574.8 km of drinking water supply systems (in 2022 - 3,881.7 km of networks, 432 facilities) will be improved;

- 5,962 complexes of citizens’ self-government bodies, markets (including, in 2022, 253 buildings of mahallas and guzars, 894 markets) will be built and repaired;

- 5,284.2 km of fiber-optic communication networks will be built (in 2022 - 1,327.1 km);

- 78 new bus routes will be created (in 2022 - 16).

About 2 trillion soums will be allocated for the repair of internal roads, 1 trillion soums for the improvement of drinking water supply, 1.4 trillion soums for the construction (repair) and improvement of the social sphere and other facilities.

According to the resolution, from 2023:

an assessment of the actual state of existing industrial and social infrastructure facilities in villages and mahallas is carried out on the basis of approved criteria;

villages and mahallas that showed the lowest results according to the results of the assessment and were not included in the Programs during the past period are included in the Programs as a matter of priority.
