13.82 billion soums were allocated from additional sources of local budgets to carry out work to improve water supply

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to form a source of income for the population, in particular for needy families, through the effective use of household lands in the regions of the country, regional financial departments allocated 13 billion soums to improve water supply from additional sources of local budgets.

As of August of this year, additional sources of local budgets allocated 9.37 billion soums for the digging of 53 artesian wells and the installation of 51 pumps for water supply of household lands of the population in 78 makhallas of districts with difficult water supply.

In particular, funds were allocated for the digging of artesian wells in Ferghana (2.63 billion soums), Jizzakh (1.8 billion soums), Surkhandarya (1.28 billion soums), Syrdarya (866.0 million soums), Kashkadarya (300.0 million soums) and Samarkand (262.0 million soums) regions, as well as for the installation of pumps in Namangan (2 billion soums), Navoi (116.8 million soums), Khorezm (85.0 million soums) ) and Syrdarya (30 soums) regions.

In addition, 4.44 billion soums were allocated from additional sources of local budgets for cleaning collector networks and repairing vertical (drainage) wells in 70 makhallas of regions with high salinity.

In particular, funds in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (604.6 million soums), Syrdarya (1.54 billion soums), Khorezm (1.3 billion soums), Surkhandarya (786.5 million soums) and Jizzakh (200.0 million soums) regions were allocated to clean up the network of open collectors..

As a result, by cleaning the open drainage network with a length of 185.1 km, an opportunity was created for the effective use of 960.4 hectares of household land in 9.8 thousand households.
