Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In response to the announcement of the start of the first stage of the tender (Request for Qualification - RFQ) for independent electricity producers (investor-developers) for the construction project of the Guzar solar photovoltaic power plant (FES), the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan received 12 applications from international companies.
The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Finance and the Public-Private Partnership Development Agency with the support of the Asian Development Bank.
The project envisages the construction of a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of up to 300 MW in Guzar district of Kashkadarya region.
The tender process is conducted in accordance with the highest international standards and the requirements of openness and transparency. The request for qualification was provided in the public domain in order to create conditions for everyone to participate in the tender.
After receiving bids from bidders, the Tender Committee will evaluate the completeness and suitability of the received bids, after which a “short list” of qualified bidders will be announced, who will subsequently be admitted to the second stage of the tender (Request for Proposal - RFP).
