Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The consular section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea has registered the 100th marriage between Uzbek citizens since the beginning of 2025, according to the Dunyo news agency.
The milestone marriage was that of Elyor Nurdinov and Nilufarkhon Nuriddinova, who officially married on 10 October.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul ranks first among all the country’s foreign diplomatic missions in terms of civil registration acts. This year alone, the consular staff conducted one hundred wedding ceremonies for Uzbeks residing in South Korea.
It is noted that humanitarian cooperation between Tashkent and Seoul continues actively. In particular, the two countries have agreed on issuing visas for highly qualified specialists and are discussing the possibility of involving Uzbek citizens in seasonal work in agriculture and fisheries.
