100th Marriage Between Uzbek Citizens Registered in South Korea in 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The 100th marriage between citizens of Uzbekistan since the start of 2025 has been registered in South Korea. The ceremony took place at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul, the “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea ranks first among all the country’s foreign diplomatic missions in the number of civil registry acts. So far this year, consular staff have conducted 100 marriage ceremonies between Uzbek citizens residing in the Republic of Korea.

It is noted that humanitarian cooperation between Tashkent and Seoul continues to expand. In particular, the two sides have agreed to introduce a visa category for highly qualified specialists and are holding talks on engaging Uzbek citizens in seasonal employment in agriculture and fisheries.
