Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 February, the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov, together with representatives of the khokimiyat of Tashkent region, presented to delegations of the Hungarian company Bonofarm Group, headed by Executive Director Attila Czanyi, three plots of land for the construction of a poultry cluster.

Earlier, the delegation got acquainted with the activities of existing poultry farms in the Tashkent region, and on 8 February, three plots of land in the Akhangaran region were inspected, which have all the necessary resources for the implementation of a project to organize a poultry cluster by the Hungarian side.

In turn, representatives of Bonofarm highly appreciated the potential of the proposed plots of land, on which they plan to consider the construction of a poultry complex in the amount of US$400 million. It will include poultry farms (10 units), a slaughter farm (25 ha), a feed production plant (10 ha), an incubation farm (5 ha), and a mother hen farm (10 ha). It is also worth noting that the project provides for the annual production of 25 million eggs, the breeding of 20 million slaughter hens and 110 thousand mother hens, as well as 80 thousand tons of feed.

Attila Czanyi, Executive Director of Bonofarm Group (Hungary):

During the days of our visit to Tashkent and the Tashkent region, we received all the necessary information, examined the land for construction, got acquainted with the activities of existing poultry farms and were satisfied with the agreements received and the expressed willingness of the Uzbek side to cooperate. I think that all our meetings and negotiations have become good ground for the implementation of the planned projects.

In order to improve the efficiency of animal husbandry, including growth, egg production, obtaining healthy young animals and other indicators, within the framework of the project, Bonofarm expressed interest in building a plant in Uzbekistan for the production of feed premixes.

Aziz Voitov, Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan:

“I would like to note that our partners from Hungary show great interest in cooperation, pay attention to all the details in negotiations and inspect locations, and the seriousness of their intentions is visible. For our part, we expressed our full readiness for cooperation and further negotiations, the transition to action for the implementation of our common project.

After examining the plots of land, the Hungarian delegation and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture visited the Center for Tourism and Winemaking "Cruchon winery", where they examined the territory of vineyards and utility rooms for wine production. In this location, the parties completed their negotiations.

On 9 February 2023, the Hungarian delegation will travel to Samarkand, where they will get acquainted with the activities of a poultry enterprise in the Samarkand region.
