Tasks for the further development of systems of technical regulation, standardization, certification and metrology were discussed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade discussed issues of further development and bringing systems of technical regulation, standardization, certification and metrology in line with international standards. It was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Agency Uzstandard.
The developed proposals for bringing national legislation in line with modern international standards, which are one of the main factors that determine the competitiveness of domestic products in the international market, and measures to ensure the recognition abroad of certificates of conformity issued on the territory of Uzbekistan were considered.
The effectiveness of the activities of the Agency "Uzstandard" and the organizations included in its system, as well as the compliance of the domestic sphere of standardization, metrology and certification with international standards, has been studied. In addition, based on the analysis of the current state of implementation of international standards by local enterprises, as well as taking into account the market mechanisms for bringing the current regulatory requirements in line with generally accepted norms, specific practical measures have been developed.
The importance of intensifying the work of the Agency in the direction of targeted support of domestic exporting entrepreneurs, in particular, by providing practical assistance in obtaining international certificates, was emphasized.
It is planned to complete the revision as soon as possible and approve in the new edition a number of legislative acts in the field of standardization, certification of products and services, conformity assessment, as well as technical regulation.
As a result of the discussion, specific instructions were also given to simplify the processes of assessing the compliance of domestic products with the requirements of technical regulations, reduce the time and financial costs for certification, as well as improve international ratings and indices in the field of foreign trade.
