Pitching to be introduced in Uzbekistan to support film projects of young filmmakers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Pitching will be introduced in Uzbekistan to support film projects of young filmmakers.
This became known within the framework of the Forum with the participation of famous directors and young filmmakers of Uzbekistan within the framework of the Week of National Cinematography. The main topic of discussion was the development of a program of measures to support novice filmmakers, creating conditions for their fruitful work.
The participants agreed that in the near future it is necessary to create and implement a pitching system. Let us remind you that pitching is a presentation of a film project in order to find investors who are ready to finance this project. According to the proposed system, which is planned to be introduced into practice, a unified project submission will be developed for receiving grants and support from the state.
All applications received will be assessed by a specially created commission and, with a positive assessment, will allocate a budget. From January 25th, young filmmakers can apply. In the meantime, the form of its registration is being developed. The first pitching will take place until February 15 of this year.
Also, within the framework of the Forum, the issue of the quality of modern cinema was raised. It was proposed to create an Association of Young Filmmakers, which will provide comprehensive assistance in the implementation of film projects.
More than 200 film and art workers took part in the Forum.
