Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan agree positions on 56 areas of borders

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Working group of the Governmental delegation of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on issues of delimitation and demarcation of intergovernmental borders held meetings in Ferghana on 8-13 November, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
The delegations of two states held field research and tool topographic shots on 14 earlier unagreed areas of state borders within Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions of Uzbekistan and Batken, Jalal-abad and Osh regions of Kyrgyzstan.
Working groups agreed positions on 7 areas. In the result, total number of areas, agreed by two states, reached 56 as of 13 November 2016.
The delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan signed a protocol in the result of the meeting. They also agreed scheduled of holding field on other unagreed areas.
