Video surveillance system to be installed in Tashkent region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent regional administration approved measures on installation of external video surveillance systems at organizations, enterprises and institutions, as well as commercial buildings belonging to private individuals.
Gazeta.uz reported that governor of the region Ahmadjon Usmanov signed a corresponding decision. The video surveillance systems will be installed due to own resources of the organizations.
The document said that special attention at installation of CCTV cameras will be paid to places with high level of crimes and with high number of people.
The document recommended to install video surveillance systems at newly constructed and reconstructed objects.
Owners of private houses, NGOs and business entities were recommended to install video cameras.
The document said that union of private houses’ owners will be finance installation of cameras at apartment houses, including via attracting loans of the banks.
The social objects and educational institutions will be equipped with cameras due to off-budget resources of these establishments.
The document said that the records, captured by the cameras, can be used in ensuring public order and security.
