Uzbek citizens receive French orders

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Uzbekistan Jacques-Henry Heuls handed over insignias of the order of “Merit in the sphere of art and literature” to two citizens of Uzbekistan on behalf of the Minister of Culture and Communication of France Fleur Pellerin.
According to the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan, Zoirsho Klichev and Tolib Nizomov were awarded with the order.
Zoirsho Klichev is an archicture, who specializes in restoration of historic monuments. He is one of founders of the Uzbek-French Association “Caravan-serais at Great Silk Road”, which reconstructed Isteza madrasah n Bukhara.
Former rector of Tashkent Architecture and Construction Institute Tolib Nizomov was at the origin of cooperation with the Higher National School of Architecture of Versailles (ENSAV). The two institutions exchange students and teachers.
The order of “Merit in the sphere of art and literature” is awarded to citizens of France and foreign states for their contribution to promotion of art and literature in France and abroad.
So far, two citizens of Uzbekistan were awarded – Natalya Musina and Marinika Babanazarova.
