UzLiDeP holds meeting with CIS observers

A mission of CIS observers are monitoring preparation and holding of parliamentary election in Uzbekistan.
Within the monitoring, the deputy chairperson of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the CIS Vladimir Garkun and observer L. Yushkevich held a meeting with representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP).
During the meeting, UzLiDeP officials briefed the guest on history of the party, its operations, programme and goals.
Garkun underlined that the election campaign in Uzbekistan is taking place in line with the legislation and all participations have equal conditions for agitation and use of mass media.
It was underlined that experience of holding elections rose compared to previous elections in Uzbekistan and the parties are using all legal mechanisms for pre-election agitation.
Vladimir Garkun said that population of Uzbekistan is actively participating in election campaign and study materials of agitation.
