Uzbek police officers, covering bandits, jailed for 13-14 years

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent regional court on criminal cases sentenced four employees of Yangiyul and Zangiata regional departments of interior affairs bodies to jail terms from 13 to 14 years for aiding people, who committed 20 killings, RIA Novosti reported quoting representative of the court.
The court official said that investigation revealed that sentenced people took bribes and covered information from investigators on serial killings in Uzbekistan.
The law enforcement bodies of Uzbekistan said that two more employees of of Yangiyul and Zangiata regional departments of interior affairs bodies, connected with the case, are wanted.
In June 2014, Tashkent city court on criminal cases sentenced Jamoliddin Kosimo and Nargiza Urazakova to life and 15 years of jail respectively for killing 20 people and committing almost 200 episodes of robbery in Tashkent city and Tashkent region.
Representing themselves as workers of utility companies, medical establishments and social welfare bodies, Kosimov and Urazova enter houses of single elder people, where they committed homicide, robbery and other grave crimes.
