CEC of Uzbekistan registers candidates to MPs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan registered candidates to MPs of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

The CEC considered documents, submitted by political parties, for registration of candidates to MPs of the Legislative Chamber in line with the requirements of the legislation.

In line with inspections and in line with the article 26 of the law “On elections to Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, the Central Election Commission at its session adopted a resolution on registration of candidates of MPs of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, nominated by political parties to participation in elections.

It was underlined that all events on nomination of candidates to MPs of the Legislative Chamber were conducted by political parties in line with the requirements of the legislation and conditions of openness and transparency.

The list of registered candidates to MPs will be published in print media.

The CEC also considered an order of holding pre-election agitation of political parties, candidates of MPs, use of mass media, external advertisement and other forms and methods of pre-election agitation.

The commission also approved samples of election bulletins and election lists on elections to MPs of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

At the session, the CEC also considered other issues, related to jurisdiction of the Central Election Commission.
