Parties complete nomination of candidates to MPs of Legislative Chamber

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- All four registered political parties of Uzbekistan completed nomination of candidates to MPs of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

The parliamentary elections will be held on 21 December 2014 in Uzbekistan. The parties should submit documents for registration of candidates till 9 November, while registration process will be completed on 16 November.

People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” and Social Democratic Party “Adolat” held their congresses and nominated candidates to the MPs of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan introduced bi-cameral parliament in 2015. Legislative Chamber has 150 MPs. About 100 Senators work in Senate – six persons from Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city. President of Uzbekistan also appoints 16 people to Senate.
