Priority tasks of liberalization of economy discussed in Surkhandarya region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan held an event in Surkhandarya region to discuss issues of further liberalizing economy and developing small and private businesses, as well as businesswomen.
It was attended by the MPs of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis and members of UzLiDeP at local Councils of People’s Deputies, representatives of Mahalla Foundation, Women’s Committee, Tadbirkor Ayol Association, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and others.
It was noted that the State programme “The Year of healthy children” envisages measures on supporting women entrepreneurship and family businesses.
In last period of 2014, within the programme about 104.233 billion soums were issued to businesses via all sources of financing, including 14.5 billion soums to development of women entrepreneurship.
Chairperson of Surkhandarya regional branch of Microcreditbank Rustam Pardaev said that as of 1 June 2014 about 254 businesswomen received loans for 1.813 billion soums. About 108 family businesses got 1.685 billion soums. Sixty two women got 638.4 million ofloans to develop services and create greenhouses.
UzLiDeP activists underlined that holding public hearings in places will help to ensure effective implementation of legislation. It was noted that explanation works should be carried out to attract more women to business activities, preferences provided to businesses, and obtaining loans from the banks.
At the end of the meeting, the participants adopted corresponding decisions.
