London hosts briefing “Economic development of Uzbekistan”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Office of DLA Piper, a leading law company, in London hosted a briefing entitled “Economic development of Uzbekistan”, Jahon news agency reported.
The event attracted over 50 representatives of British and international business circles. It was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Great Britain in cooperation with Pathfinder.
DLA Piper is one of ten largest law firms in the world, which has its offices in 30 countries. It employs about 4,200 legal experts. It was included to Global 1000 and Fortune 500.
Co-chairperson of London office of DLA Piper Lord Tim Clement-Jones highly rated achievements of economic development of Uzbekistan, diversification of economy and industry, stable GDP growth. He said that these factors create good opportunities for work of British firms in Uzbekistan.
He said that it is important for DLA Piper to be in Uzbekistan as it is fast growing country. He added that there is large number of British firms in Uzbekistan, but their number could be large. He said that DLA Piper is ready actively participate in the process.
During the briefing, the participants received information on social-economic development of Uzbekistan, conditions created for foreign businesses, information on special industrial zones in Navoi, Jizzakh and Andijan.
