Uzbekistan sells 82 state assets in 2013

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the data of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition 82 enterprises and objects (including program and non-program objects) were privatized in January-December 2013.
In the reporting period the greatest number of objects was privatized in the city of Tashkent and Surkhandarya region (11 objects per each), Namangan region (10 objects), Khorezm region (8 objects), Jizzakh region and Kashkadarya region (7 objects per each).
In the structure of privatized state property the highest share falls upon objects of local authorities – 54 objects, information service of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
Receipts of money from privatization and decentralization of objects amounted to 44,1 billion soums in January-December 2013.
The most part of receipts received from decentralization and privatization was marked in the city of Tashkent (68,8 percent of total receipts), Tashkent region (6,3 percent), Khorezm region (3,4 percent), Andizhan region, Samarkand region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (2,9 percent per each).
