Delegation of Penza to visit Uzbekistan with business mission

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Penza region (Russia) led by head of Department on industry and energy of the region Konstantin Makarov will pay a visit to Uzbekistan with a business mission.
According to the Department on industry and energy of Penza region, the visit is aimed at familiarizing economic and industrial potential of Uzbekistan, establishing business relations with the partners and holding negotiations on developing mutual beneficial cooperation.
On 29 October 2013, the delegation will participate at International industrial fair and cooperation exchange, including a business forum of Uzbek and Russian businesses and a presentation of the Uzbek companies.
The business mission of the Russian enterprises is organized by the Trade Office of Russia in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is one of the largest trade partners of Russia in Central Asia after Ukraine among the CIS states (excluding members of the CustomsUnion). Russia exports to Uzbekistan machinery equipment, timber, metallurgy, food and electronics, etc. Total exports of non-raw exports of Russia to Uzbekistan exceeds US$1 billion a year.
