Kor UNG Investments to complete construction of gas filling stations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Kor UNG Investments, an Uzbek-Korean joint venture, will complete construction of network of automobile gas filling compressor stations in Uzbekistan by the end of 2013, RIA Novosti reported quoting source in the joint venture.
The source said that the venture adopted decision to speed up project implementation and plans to complete construction of 12 stations, which will complete creation of network.
The project with the cost of US$42.8 million envisages construction of 50 automobile gas filling compressor stations across Uzbekistan with annual capacity of up to 4 million cubic meters of liquefied gas. Earlier, it was planned to complete construction of stations by the end of 2014. The project financed due to own resources of the venture.
The venture was founded in May 2011. Its founders are Uzbekneftegaz and South Korea’s Kogas, Kolon, Kwangshin and EngineTech.
According to official data, currently about 15% of 3 million registered cars in Uzbekistan are using gas as fuel.
