LUKOIL invests US$96m into Uzbekistan in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- LUKOIL open joint stock company (Russia) directed US$96 million of capital investments to exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2013.
Russian company said that the volume of capital expenses decreased by 35.58% compared to the same period of 2012 from US$149 million in January-March 2012.
The gas production abroad decreased by 1.8% due to fall of gas production at Khauzak field by 52 million cubic meters or 5.6%.
At Gissar field, Lukoil produced 247 million cubic meters of gas in the first 2013 against 233 million compared to the same period of 2012. Both fields are located in Uzbekistan.
LUKOIL said that it completed drilling wells No 45, 55 and 56 at Gumbulak field within Gissar project and well No 7 at Jarquduq field. The company is continuing work on contracting equipment and construction works within the project “Full Development” within Gissar project.
The company noted that it completed drilling well No. 8 within Kandym project and continues to design Kandym gas processing complex. Four wells were drilled within Shady project.
