Lukoil begins construction of booster station in Khauzak field

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia’s Lukoil started wide-scale works on construction of booster station at Khauzak field in Uzbekistan.
Lukoil Overseas said that it is planned to launch new booster station by the end of 2013 and it will allow to increase gas production by 20% a year.
Three huge bulldozers, including Сaterpillar, are working at the field of the booster station near preliminary gas preparation facility. The foundation for concrete-mixing unit was constructed.
It is also planned to build foundation for equipment. Lukoil is also constructing town for builders of booster station.
Lukoil said that it is planned to test the first compressor, which is produced by MAN Diesel & Turbo for Khauzak. After tests, the compressor will be delivered to construction field.
Lukoil underlined that booster station of MAN Diesel & Turbo will be used in Uzbekistan for the first time. The company said that construction of booster station and reconstruction of preliminary gas preparation facility will increase gas production up to 4 billion cubic meters a year.
