Capacity of Uzbek part of Central Asia-China to increase

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A designed capacity of the Uzbek part of the gas pipeline “Central Asia-China” will increase from 30 billion to 40 billion cubic meters by the end of 2013. This was announced at the international exhibition and conference Oil Gas Uzbekistan 2013 in Tashkent.
The source said that Asia Trans Gas will complete the first turn of the third line of the Uzbek part of the gas pipeline with the length of 318 km from Gazli (Bukhara region) to the border of Kazakhstan, Noviy Vek reported.
New line will increase capacity of the gas pipeline by 10 billion cubic meters and it will be launched in the beginning of 2014.
Earlier, it was reported that the capacity of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline will reach 25 billion cubic meters a year and it will deliver gas from new fields in Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan to China. Total length of the third line is 1,840 km.
Construction of the third line of the Uzbek part of the gas pipeline with the length of 520 km and the cost of US$2.2 billion was launched in December 2011. It is planned that the capacity of the pipeline will reach 55 billion cubic meters a year in January 2015.
Construction of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline was launched in July 2018 and it was commissioned in December 2009. Its total length is about 7,000 km.
