Uzbek-Korean seminar on processing valuable waste takes place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan on initiative of South Korean company D Center for Valuable Recycling organized a first an Uzbek-Korean seminar on processing valuable waste, Econews reported.
Over 20 foreign experts, specialists from South Korea, 70 representatives of organizations and departments of Uzbekistan, Mahsus Trans, Tashkent Plant on preparing and processing scrap metal and non-ferrous metals, and others.
The seminar was designed for businesses and representatives of small businesses, interested in processing valuable waste. At the event, they received information on innovative approaches on waste management.
At the event, the participants discussed issues on problems of waste utilization, increase competitiveness of processing industry in Uzbekistan, and improvement measures directed at environment protection.
Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Alisher Shaihov said that Uzbekistan laughed when foreigners bought waste, but now the country understands that it was correct decision. Processing and utilization of waste currently is a profitable and perspective direction of economic development.
At the end of the seminar, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and &D Center for Valuable Recycling signed a memorandum of cooperation, which envisages organization of similar events and exchange experience on waste management.
