Zakhid Karaev Appointed Deputy Chairman of “Uzbekneftegaz” for Compliance and Anti-Corruption
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chief Adviser of Justice Zakhid Karaev has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” for compliance and internal anti-corruption oversight.
This appointment is part of an initiative outlined in the President’s Address to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan for 2026, under which a “state of emergency” on anti-corruption measures has been introduced across all organizations and government bodies. Each head of an institution is tasked with appointing a dedicated deputy responsible for implementing anti-corruption policies.
Prior to joining “Uzbekneftegaz,” Zakhid Karaev headed the Tashkent City Department of the Office for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor’s Office, where he oversaw the investigation and prevention of economic offenses.
