Zafar Kayumov appointed as Consul General of Uzbekistan in New York

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- New Consul General of Uzbekistan in New York, the United States of America, has been appointed, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

According to the Uzbek ministry, Zafar Kayumov has been appointed as the new Consul General of Uzbekistan in New York.

Prior to appointment, Zafar Kayumov worked as Consul General of Uzbekistan in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

At this post, Zafar Kayumov replaced Durbek Amanov, who has been appointed as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic in October 2013.
